This southern Indian state is the cradle of the Dravidian culture, a civilization as old as the better known Indus valley civilization.
Throughout this Tamil speaking state is sprinkled with its characteristic temples. Tamilnadu is by and large a vegetarian with its exquisite cuisine. That said the Tamilnadu’s own Chettinadu cuisine is the non-vegetarian fanfare at its spicy best.
The state is also home to the Tollywood movies, the largest Indian movie industry , after the Bollywood.
UNESCO World Heritage Sites Tamilnadu include the Mahabalipurm shore temples , the vintage Nilgiri Mountain Railway of Ooty , Airavatesvara Temple (Great Living Chola Temples), Brihadeeswarar Temple (Great Living Chola Temples) and Gangaikonda Cholapuram temple (Great Living Chola Temples) .
